I am myself a collector of Hokusai on stamps. I have a rather unusual example of a turtle on a stamp for you, from Palau, Scott 513b. In the bottom is a bowl with a turtle underneath, clearer in a full print of the work, which shows two thousand-year-old turtles, growing hair, auspicious symbols for Hokusai. I can send you a print if you are interested.
I just found out this site dedicated to turtle stamps collecting and leaned a lot from reading through it.
One of the turtle stamps I am missing in my collection is a Japan cartoon turtle booklet containing ten Scott Japan Z113. Picture on booklet cover is different from that on stamps inside, in that on the cover the hare is sitting up.
Do you or any of your readers know where I can get this booklet? Would really appreciate whatever information you can provide.
